Custom Sourcing 101

At The Curated Carat, our custom sourcing program is designed to help you find your perfect diamond.

Please note that custom sourcing is highly specialized and labor-intensive. Because we hunt for and secure one unique stone at a time, it involves higher operational costs. If your primary goal is finding the absolute lowest price point, our curated Drops are the perfect choice! 

However, if you are searching for a highly specific silhouette, ratio, or antique cut, we highly recommend custom sourcing.

Pricing Note: Due to the logistics of procuring a single diamond (including specialized imports, secure shipping, and dedicated labor), custom sourcing runs approximately 25% to 30% higher than our standard drops, and is the perfect way to find exactly what you're looking for without waiting for the next drop!

How It Works

Step 1 – Deposit: A $100 deposit begins the process. This amount is applied toward the diamond you choose and covers up to two sourcing rounds. Please note, deposits are non-refundable.

Step 2 – First Sourcing Round: We’ll present a carefully selected diamond that aligns with your preferences.

• Second Sourcing Round: If the first option isn’t quite right, we’ll source one additional diamond for you. This second round is already included in your deposit. 

Step 3 – Selection and Balance: Once you’ve found your perfect diamond, we’ll send over an invoice for the remaining balance (with your $100 deposit already applied). Your diamond is officially yours once the balance is paid. Since diamonds can sometimes sell quickly, a prompt payment helps ensure your chosen gem doesn’t slip away.
